“Rusty” is an 11 YO Finished Rope Horse Head or Heel horse. Kid Friendly if they have rode before. He is very honest, calm in the box with no issues or bad habits. He gives your the same run everytime and just does his job. He was ranch broke and was used a ton ranching, moving cattle, and then moved into the arena to be a finished roper. He does move off of leg pressure, he will  read a cow, and was started out as a cutting horse when he was younger.

He loads, ties, shoes,  with no bad habits or issues. He has been roped on at many jackpots, rodeos, and been on the big stage @ the World Series Finale in Vegas on the Heel side. So he’s seen it all!

This horse would make a great horse for a kid learning, or someone who is just starting out roping, or someone who just wants to ride causally. Or a great horse to stick your kid on to ride around the arena, push steers our, or doing 4H things.

Rusty did have a tendon injury on his back left leg in early 2024 which he still has side effects from. My vet diagnosed him with a Bowed Tendon. He was treated to reduce inflammation and he does require maintenance, but we were told to just use him accordingly.

He is not a horse you can pound on because of that, but he is usable with the right care and maintenance. After hard use he will walk with a limp, but we do use him to head or heel steers a couple times a week but we only run 5-7 head. We want this fully disclosed, but also want someone who can see past his blemish and put him to their best use.

MAVERICK is broke enough to do almost any job he's been used as a turnback horse for the last month or so and is really cowy. Handles neck reining and is respectful in the bridle and neck rein. He has been ranch roped on but we don’t know if they’ve team roped but it doesn’t seem like it would take much to get there. Maverick is quick footed and can run. At 15.1 hands he's big enough to make a HEAD HORSE and stops hard enough to make a fantastic HEEL HORSE. Moves his shoulder nicely and respects your feet. Good for the farrier.
